Museum of Puppets
Its items were displayed in the former museum, located in the basement of the church of S. Teresa on Via Santa Teresa in Turin, which now is closed and is moving to another place. There are ancient the puppets dated from the 19th Century that were used in the theatre shows to narrate the succession of facts (e.g. Garibaldi, Cavour, Aida, Pinocchio, Pietro Micca, many fairy tales etc.) and a great collection of 19th Century scenographies, and many of them are real attestations of places and cities such as Turin, Venice, Moscow etc. The hand sewn costumes of the last 200 years are particularly valuable, and the wooden carved heads and the furniture are real jewels that narrate the succession of styles, since they were not invented, but they were models of that age.
