The Art Gallery is located in the city centre of Turin, on Via Accademia Albertina 8.The Art Gallery is located in the city centre of Turin, on Via Accademia Albertina. The academy is a formative institution linked to its recently reorganized Art Gallery, which includes works of Piedmontese painting from the 15th to 20th Century. The most important items are the paintings by Filippo Lippi, Defendente Ferrari and Martino Spanzotti. The pièce de résistance of the Art Gallery are the precious sixty preparatory cartoons by Gaudenzio Ferrari and his school, donated by Carlo Alberto in 1832; the only graphic heritage of its kind, which attests the work done in the Renaissance workshops of Piedmont. Part of the itinerary is dedicated to works by teachers and students of the Academy.
