Palazzo Madama - museum of ancient art
UNESCO site: one of the royal residences set in the magnificent Piazza Castello in Turin and it is the seat of the Civic Museum of Ancient Art, that reopens after 18 years of closure. A complex work of studies, research and investigations, restorations and recovering gave back to the city one of its most beautiful symbols. The wonderful staircase by Juvarra, the archaeological itinerary of the Medieval court, the two Royal Ladies, Cristina of France and Maria Giovanna Battista Savoy of Nemours’ baroque apartments, the Hall of the Senate that housed the works of the Chambers after the Unification of Italy and the three large rooms housing important collections of decorative arts on the second floor are accessible again.
