Museum of School and Children's Books
The exhibition is divided in four floors and is located in Palazzo Barolo in Turin on Via delle Orfane, in a wing that was not open to the public before, where you can also visit the Classroom of the novel “Heart” by De Amicis; the school for laughing; the kindergarten in the first years of the 20th Century; a room entirely dedicated to De Amicis, whose centenary of the death was celebrated in 2008. It is an evocative itinerary in the world of school between the 19th and the 20th Century. Among desks, nibs and other didactic material and without forgetting the aspect of game, the visit allows visitors to get close in an involving and direct way to the famous pedagogical and editorial tradition of the city of Turin and its Region.
