Museum of Fruit
A trip back in time to think about the current subject of biodiversity. The heart of the Museum, located on Via Pietro Giuria 15 in Turin, is the extraordinary Francesco Garnier Valletti’s pomological collection, which is composed of hundreds of varieties of apples, pears, peaches, apricots, plums, grapes… The reconstruction of the analysis laboratory, the rooms of the pomological collection, the library, the director’s office, enhances the valuable historical-scientific heritage of the Station of Agricultural Chemistry from 1871 to the present day, in the context of the evolution in applied research in agriculture in Turin between the 19th and the 20th Century.
