Medieval Village and Fortification
Inside the crenelated walls on Viale Virgilio 107 in Turin, beyond the drawbridge, the buildings of the village follow one another along the main road, creating an extremely evocative itinerary. They reproduce some buildings of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta, combined to create an inhabited area enlivened by the workshops: the fountain and the bakery, the farrier’s workshop and the Hospice for pilgrims. Under the porch of Casa di Bussoleno there is a paper mill, where the ancient hammer mill frays the rags for the paper. A few years ago a showroom was fitted out behind the façade of the church: here, in particular periods, some exhibitions and temporary installations are proposed to the visitors.
